What type of clothes hanger are you?

Wooden hangers, metal hangers or plastic?

There are objects that everyone uses in everyday life – but that many people don’t give much thought to. Clothes hangers, for example, are one of our everyday heroes, whether they are wooden, metal or plastic. We often pick up clothes hangers every day to take our favorite sweaters, blouses, shirts or trousers out of the closet and then hang them back up again. Our clothes hangers are no longer just simple household helpers for storing our clothes. In addition to the perfect size to avoid dents and wrinkles and the shape and color that matches our interior design style, aspects such as social, economic and ecological sustainability are becoming increasingly important. But which type of clothes hanger are you?

Answer the following questions we have compiled for you and find out which hangers are best for you: wooden hangers, metal hangers or plastic hangers!

    2. I like things to be functional and colorful, but for special occasions, a chic evening dress is also a must.

    3. My clothing style is very diverse, and I don't like to commit to one style. I wear classic pieces as well as colorful, funky, or even functional clothing.

Take a look in your closet. Which items of clothing predominate?

      1. Various jackets, blazers and thick sweaters.
      2. Blouses or shirts, light sweaters and dresses.
      3. Tops and T-shirts.

Which materials do you particularly like?

        1. I like cotton, knitwear, leather and cashmere.
        2. I prefer light fabrics like silk, satin or linen.
        3. My clothes are mostly made of polyester, viscose and elastane.

How important is price to you when shopping?

          1. I am also happy to spend a little more money when shopping if I get high-quality products in return.
          2. I don't want to spend a fortune, but cheap items don't make it into my shopping cart.
          3. I want to shop as cheaply as possible.

            2. What is most important to me is that my skin does not come into contact with substances that are harmful to my health and that the products are produced sustainably.

            3. To be honest, I haven't thought about these aspects until now.

                Result:

Mostly 1 – The wooden hanger lover

Quality is important to you, and your favorite pieces are okay with spending a little more. Solid yet elegant wooden hangers perfectly meet your needs. These sturdy hangers keep your clothes in shape, and a variety of finishes, from natural to waxed, stained to colored lacquer, allow for a unique look. You prefer sustainable, long-lasting products and should look for materials from sustainable, controlled forestry when purchasing.

Mainly 2 – Fashion and metal ironing expert

You have a flair for fashion, and whenever a new trend pops up, you already have it in your closet. You like things a bit unusual, funky, and colorful—and your hangers should look the part, too. Given your lifestyle, metal hangers are the best choice for your many different garments. These hangers are available in numerous colors, save space in your closet, and are still sturdy and durable. Especially with coated metal hangers, you should make sure you buy metal hangers that are free of harmful substances such as heavy metals or plasticizers.

                Mostly 3 – the undecided

Fashion doesn't play a particularly important role in your life (so far). You mostly wear whatever's on top of your pile of clothes or whatever's hanging in your closet. You probably also have a colorful mix of plastic, wooden, and metal hangers in your closet. However, plastic hangers are often cheap, one-size-fits-all products that don't always provide sufficient support, and widths that don't match your clothes can lead to sagging. Furthermore, in this age of plastic avoidance, more and more people are consciously choosing to avoid plastic. How about a combination of wooden and metal hangers that combines the advantages of both materials and also creates a beautiful play of colors in your closet?
