Our customers are our top priority at MAWA, and it motivates us every day when someone says, "Not all hangers are created equal!" Many of you know that those who switch to MAWA hangers often remain loyal to them for life – after all, a tidy closet makes everyday life easier for all of us. But those who want to organize their closet often don't know where to start. For this reason, we now offer telephone consultations where we take the time to answer all your hanger questions. Find out what you can look forward to and meet our experts...
Sara Breininger: Customers now call us daily with questions about coat hangers and the right choice. We've noticed that there's a huge demand for this. Often, customers have already studied our models in detail and have a rough idea of which hangers they want to use to organize their closet. But when it comes to the smaller details, they still pick up the phone. The most common questions concern the different hanging options for trousers and combination hangers .
We then explain to customers that it all depends on their own preferences: Some prefer to secure trousers with clips, others fold them over a trouser bar. A combination hanger like the Silhouette FRS is practical because it can fit an entire outfit, saving additional space. Hanging and taking off clothes on it, however, is a bit more complicated.
Rebecca Koch: We all have very full wardrobes these days, and organizing our closets can be overwhelming at first. I think that's why some clients find it easier to tackle the project together with us. Often, they'll be on the phone, counting the different items of clothing in their closet. We take notes, get an overview, and then systematically go through everything until we've put together a customized set of hangers together.
Rebecca Koch: There are a few basic questions we always clarify before organizing our closets: Is a lack of space a consideration? Are there items of clothing that shouldn't be hanging? What does your wardrobe consist of? Based on these answers, you can make a good preliminary selection. Personal taste and your clothing size are also important, as we offer a wide variety of colors and shapes at MAWA.
Sara Breininger: Many customers ask whether wooden or metal hangers are better. But there's no simple answer. In this case, we explain the advantages of both materials: Metal is often more space-saving and less expensive, and our anti-slip coating is simply practical. Thanks to the wide range of colors we offer, you can't say that metal hangers are just functional – with our collections in copper or with gold hooks, you can wonderfully emphasize your home style and optimally organize your closet.
Customers often perceive wooden hangers as particularly high-quality and elegant. Our beechwood naturally has a special feel that metal hangers can't match. Ultimately, however, the choice of wood or metal is a matter of personal taste and style. We always advise against plastic hangers – these hangers break and bend easily and aren't a good idea from a sustainability perspective.
Rebecca Koch: Sustainability! Our customers generally place a lot of value on high-quality, sustainable products. Many come to us because they know that we manufacture in Germany and that MAWA stands for the best quality. But I think we go much deeper into sustainability than many customers can imagine. If, for example, a batch of hangers isn't perfect, we remove the anti-slip coating and recycle it, along with the steel of the hangers. For the coating itself, we use a formula without toxic plasticizers. When you organize your closet or iron and uniron clothes every day, your hands and your clothes come into contact with the material again and again. That's why it's nice to have a good feeling here and know that we're not just looking out for the environment, but also directly looking out for each and every customer.
Sara Breininger: Like many of my colleagues, I have a variety of different hanger colors in my closet. I'm right at the source, and often can't resist when we add a new style to our range. Fortunately, thanks to the uniform hanging height of all MAWA hangers, my closet still looks tidy, as all the hangers can be easily combined.
Rebecca Koch: Like Sara, I also have a mix of colors (silver and pink). A few months ago, I finally got a large closet and no longer have to share a clothes rack with my husband. I was really proud when I had put everything away. The wonderful feeling when you iron and then hang everything neatly is something you shouldn't underestimate!
